I need some workbenches, so I looked around the net and found some 'standardized' benches designed by EAA chapter 1000. These guys should probably know a thing or two about building planes, so their benches are good in my book. I found some easier to read plans for this table on another RV builders website.
I bought all the wood and screws listed in the plans and first cut everything to the correct lengths. All the wood for 2 tables, cut up, is seen below.
After another hour or two, I had the first table assembled.
After assembly I checked to see if it was level and it looked fine, but had a little wobble. Oh great, my nice straight table for building a nice straight airplane is crooked... I found, if I move it around, some places in the garage it wobbles and some places it does not. Great job on making the floor flat construction guys!
The wood for the second table is waiting on the floor next to the first.. But that's for another day.
