Today started with tool shopping. I made the trip across town to Harbor Freight to get some cheap Chinese tools. I picked up some spring clamps, a bench grinder, a touch-up sprayer for my future priming adventures, and a die grinder.
Later I went to Home Depot and got some files and flourescent shop lights so I can see what I'm doing in the shop... I also picked up some miscelaneous air parts, like a oil resistant rubber hose for the air tools, filters, regulators, and quick disconnects.
After putting the lights up and putting away some of the new tools (and leaving a bunch out on the benchs until I get a good toolbox), I started a little work on the plane! First step is to round out the ends of the spar stiffeners and 'break' the edges. I got all the ends rounded and a couple of the edged rounded (broken?), but then I had to divert my attention back to my wife for the night :)
