Today I put the elevator skins off to the side, as those will be bent soon, but I can't go any further with them right now. So I picked the partial HS skeleton back up off the floor and started at it again. I split it in half (which I should have done before, but I was over-anxious to get it all together). I started work on the new HS-710 angle to replace the one that I screwed up over a month ago (has it been that long?!). So I went at it with the vixen file and rounded out the ends. Then it took a ride on the scotchbrite wheel to smooth off the file marks and finish up the rounding nicely. I also hit the rest of the edges for general deburring and softening up of the sharp edges. And that was about it for today. My second new HS-702 will be in tomorrow, so I should be able to make a little progress with that. Hopefully enough to get the skeleton ready for primer this weekend (Sunday will be primer day whether the HS parts are ready or not). But I'm not going to rush it this time! :)
