1 Hour - Riveted on right elevator skin

Today I picked right up where I left off yesterday and riveted the right elevator skin on to the skeleton. The counterbalance ribs were kinda tricky, as it all fits together very tightly and those back to back ribs weren't quite perfectly flat.. No problem though. Bend the next cleco up to pull the skin into place and squeeze the rivet and it all pulls together quite nicely. The rest went very quickly. I did leave the very end rivets in the inboard and outboard ribs open, as the squeezer didn't fit in there and I didn't feel like having to fight the super thin bucking bar to smash those guys down. I guess that's for tomorrow. I just have to roll the leading edge and rivet it, and install the eye bolts and I'll be done with the right elevator. I might save that for a little later and move on to the left elevator first. It'll probably be next week for the finishing touches on the elevators as I'll be in San Antonio for the "Race For The Cure" on Saturday, and I'll be making phone calls to try to cash in on my offers for RV rides on Sunday.. I can't wait for that. It'll be good motivation to finish up all the bits and piece on the elevator before my wing kit arrives (scheduled June 13th ship date).
