It seemed like I spent a lot of time today and didn't really do much. But the end result looks like I'm getting close!
I made the cutouts to allow for full elevator down travel. As you can see I got overzealous and installed both elevators, so I'll have to remove one and re-attach it and remove it again to get all the drilling done for the horns.
Here's more of the work done today. Trimming the HS skin to allow the elevator to fit nicely in there. A little work with the snips, files, and sandpaper and 4 cutouts like this one were made. I also started playing with the fiberglass end caps and you can see one installed on the left elevator here..
