2 Hours - Floxed, sanded, filled HS and VS tips

Today started with cutting foam to fit in the HS tips. I clecoed them in there, held a small piece of styrofoam up to it and traced the outline of the tip with a marker on the foam. I cut it out, and after removing the tip I stuffed it in there about 1/8" back from the edge to leave room for a good layer of flox. Then I stuck it back on the Horizontal Stablizier and clecoed it. After doing this with both tips, I mixed up some epoxy, made some nice, thick flox mixture and applied it to the foam. I made sure it was thick enough to fill the 1/8" space all the way across. To keep if from flowing, I set the HS on its nose while it cured.

Later in the day, after leaving the garage door open and letting the 80+ degree heat and sunlight in while I mowed the lawn, it was cured pretty hard already. So, I sanded it down, and sanded near the aluminum-fiberglass junction, and applied a layer of glass bead filler. I did the same for the VS tip, as it was ready to go from yesterday, as well. I'm gonna try to do as much filler at once as possible, becuase even 1 pump of epoxy makes way more filler than I use and I end up throwing most of it out each time...
