2 Hours - Continuing work on empennage tips

Back from my family visit in Michigan, so back to more fiberglass work. The third time's the charm on the HS tips. The second try with the leave-it-in foam and flox over the top worked great, except the tip was bulged out and fatter than the horizontal stabilizer and the elevator tip. So out came the dremel and I cut all that last try out. I squeezed it down with my hands to try to smash the foam a bit, then with the elevator even with the tip, I clamped it eever so slightly with a C-clamp to get it just right. I moved the elevator out of the way and floxed over it, after it cured about two hours, I put some epoxy/bead filler on to smooth it out. Looks to be right this time! :)

And here's the result after sanding the next day.. Looks good!

And after having a perfect right tip, the left one doesn't look so hot anymore. This was an easy fix, though, see tomorrow's page for the conclusion...

I also put a bunch of epoxy/bead filler on the rudder top tip, and some flox to fill a thin spot on the VS tip.
