4.5 Hours - All nutplates riveted on

After dinner today I started with freshly countersunk spars and a bit after midnight I had all the nutplates riveted on. Here's a pic of all the k1100-8 nutplates clecoed on on side of the right spar. This was after I spent a while applying alodine with a q-tip to all the fresh holes. I then wiped it off, washed it with a wet paper towel, and dryed it. After that I clecoed on all the nutplates, inserted rivets in one side, squeezed them, removed all the clecoes, inserted another 120 rivets, squeezed them, and then did it another 24 times for the k1000-6 inspection cover nutplates.

Here's the tools of the trade tonight. I messed up 1 rivet, as I didn't have the plate lined up and the rivet didn't actually get inserted in the nutplate hole. I squeezed it and thought it felt much different than the others (I guess that's the advantage to hand squeezing). I noticed the nutplate was askew, so I drilled the rivet out and re-did that one.

Here's the right spar with all nutplates attached.

And here's a closeup of the two different sizes. And with all that it's now almost 1AM, my feet hurt from standing so long, my fingers hurt from picking up 288 little rivets and inserting them, and my right hand hurts from squeezing all those suckers. So it's time for bed now...
