While I work up the ambition (and gather the last few necessities) to finish up (rivet and proseal) the tanks I worked on the wing skins today. As you can see in this picture, I did all the deburring and dimpling of the inboard top skins. These also require beveling where the inboard and otuboard skins overlap. It took a little work with the file, but I think they both turned out pretty good. I need to buy a rattle can of primer to seal up these places I filed down especially since they overlap. You can see the scuffed surface on the overlap section on this left skin. I smoothed it down with scotchbrite after I was done to get a nice finish on it and help the primer adhere once I spray it on...
And here's the outboard left skin. This one just got finished up at the end of the day. The bevelling and scuffing can be done on the inboard skin after dimpling, but make sure to do it before dimpling on this skin, or you'd end up filing off the bottom of the dimple...
